Gabinete Effects offers a full spectrum of prosthetic makeup and special effects services, from initial concept through final application on set. Every project is developed in-house at our Madrid studio, combining traditional craftsmanship with the latest digital fabrication technology.

PROSTHETIC MAKEUP DESIGN
Custom prosthetics designed, sculpted, and applied by an Emmy Award-winning artist. From subtle character aging to full creature transformations, built to perform under the demands of professional production.

SPECIAL MAKEUP EFFECTS (FX)
Practical effects developed for film and television — wounds, burns, gore, mechanical rigs, and on-set FX coordination with production teams.

ANIMATRONICS
Design and fabrication of animatronic systems for film and television — from mechanically operated facial rigs and eye mechanisms to full puppet heads with mouth movement. Built to integrate seamlessly with prosthetic makeup and operated live on set.

SPECIAL COSTUMES & PROPS
Fabrication of specialty costume pieces and hero props demanding the precision of an effects studio — from superhero suits and sci-fi armor to full character builds. We also produce high-end replicas and display pieces for museums, exhibitions, and collector installations, with the same standards applied to professional production work.

3D SCANNING & PRINTING
Life-cast digitization, reference scanning, and 3D printing for prosthetic bases, armatures, and custom tooling.

MODELING & DIGITAL SCULPTING
Digital character and creature development using industry-standard sculpting pipelines. From initial concept mesh to production-ready models optimized for 3D printing, mold-making, or VFX handoff. Fully compatible with traditional prosthetic workflows.

CONCEPT ART
Visual development for characters and creatures at pre-production stage. Design exploration, mood boards, and presentation-ready artwork.

All work is produced in our own fully equipped Madrid studio — ensuring quality control, confidentiality, and creative consistency from first sketch to final delivery.
Pepe Mora is an Emmy Award-winning prosthetic makeup designer and member of IATSE 706, with over twenty five years of international experience across film and television.
He has worked at some of the world's leading effects studios — including Legacy Effects, Weta Workshop, Fractured FX, and Animated Extras — on productions for Lucasfilm, Amazon, Disney, Marvel, and Paramount. Based in Madrid with his own fully equipped prosthetic studio, he is available for productions worldwide .
He received an Emmy Award for his work on The Mandalorian, where he served as prosthetic makeup artist across thirteen episodes for Lucasfilm at Manhattan Beach Studios. His career spans some of the most ambitious productions in contemporary cinema and television, including Resident Evil (Sony), Predator: BADLANDS ( Disney) The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Amazon), Alien: Romulus (Disney), Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (Paramount), Avatar: The Way of Water, Suicide Squad 1 & 2 (Warner), Captain Marvel (Marvel), Star Trek: Picard (CBS), Game of Thrones (HBO), and Penny Dreadful (Showtime).
A skilled sculptor and painter, he has collaborated with studios including Legacy Effects, Fractured FX, Autonomous FX, Creative Character Engineering, and Creature Inc. He trained at Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Los Angeles.
Currently based in Madrid, Pepe runs Gabinete Effects — his own prosthetic makeup studio — and teaches intensive courses in prosthetics for the next generation of FX artists.
